A country park created by Rochford Council on former farmland in the attractive setting of the rolling countryside of the Roach Valley. It has three plantations of native trees, a large lake and some open grassland, with a network of connecting paths and bridleways.
The existing hedgerows have many fine mature trees and the Roach – an attractive stream at this point – runs along its northern boundary. This combination of old and new habitats attracts a wide range of wildlife.
